Students are invited to attend the All County Concert on January 30, 2010 at Governer Thomas Johnson High School to support our CMS musicians.

Percussion Ensemble Rehearsals

Due to schedule conflicts during the upcoming week, I am going to hold a Percussion Ensemble rehearsal after school on Tuesday January 12, 2010 from 3:15 - 4:15PM. All Crestwood Middle School students interested in learning percussion instruments are invited to attend. This rehearsal is intended to go over basic percussion rehearsal etiquette and proper use of the instruments with an introduction of basic Drum Rudiments that will be essential for the students to learn prior to tackling any piece of music.

*Future rehearsals will be held on Wednesdays after school from 3:15 - 4:15PM, this week's rehearsal schedule was altered due to the scheduling conflicts.

Parents do not have to attend rehearsals. Students should have a ride home established for 4:15 at CMS prior to rehearsal.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Tuscarora Move-Up Night

Congratulations to the 8th Grade Cavalier Band who performed with the Tuscarora Titans at the football game last night. The weather was chilly with light rain, but the Cavaliers went the extra mile to perform the "Star Spangled Banner" and "Hey Ya!" on the football field with the high school band and the Ballenger Creek Middle School band. These students are well on their way to becoming future marchers!

Last week several 8th grade band members also joined the Frederick Marching Cadets to perform the "Star Spangled Banner" and other selections at their football game.
